role.exists()

Test if a role exists.

Signature

exists() => Boolean | "invalid_null_access"

Description

The exists() method tests if the instance document exists.

Staged schema

If a database has staged schema, this method interacts with the database’s staged schema, not the active schema.

Parameters

None

Return value

Type Description

Boolean

true= the role exists
false = the role doesn’t exist.

Examples

Role.byName("manager").exists()
true
