delete-endpoint

Delete an endpoint entry from the configuration file.

Syntax

fauna delete-endpoint ENDPOINT_ALIAS [OPTIONS]

Description

The delete-endpoint command deletes a endpoint entry from the fauna-shell configuration file.

Arguments

Argument Description

ENDPOINT_ALIAS

The alias of the endpoint to be deleted.

Options

Option Description

--domain=<domain>

Optional Fauna server domain, that is, the hostname where Fauna is running. Defaults to db.fauna.com.

--endpoint=<name>

Optional name of the endpoint to use for the command.

--port=<number>

Optional connection port. Defaults to 8443.

--scheme=<scheme>

Optional connection scheme. Must be one of https or http. Defaults to https.

--secret=<secret>

Optional secret to use. A secret authenticates your connection to Fauna, and connects you to a database.

--timeout=<integer>

Optional connection timeout, an integer number of milliseconds. When the interval has elapsed, fauna-shell stops waiting for a response and displays an error.

The default is zero, which means that fauna-shell waits until a response is received.

Example

For the following example, the fauna-shell configuration file includes an entry for the endpoint whose alias is localhost:

default=db2

[localhost]
domain=127.0.0.1
port=8443
scheme=http
secret=secret

[cloud]
domain=db.fauna.com
scheme=https
secret=fnADS@PxN@2CE@n7z@kDa4_p6Z@fIBaZm@Qt@bYT

[db2]
domain=private.example
port=8443
scheme=https
secret=MY_ORGANIZATION_SECRET

Run fauna delete-endpoint to delete the endpoint whose alias is localhost.

$ fauna delete-endpoint localhost
Are you sure you want to delete the 'localhost' endpoint? [y/n]: y

This removes the localhost endpoint entry from the fauna-shell configuration file. The updated configuration file should resemble:

default=db2

[cloud]
domain=db.fauna.com
scheme=https
secret=fnADS@PxN@2CE@n7z@kDa4_p6Z@fIBaZm@Qt@bYT

[db2]
domain=private.example
port=8443
scheme=https
secret=MY_ORGANIZATION_SECRET
