array.drop()

This method operates on an array. You typically fetch documents from a collection as a set, not an Array. For the equivalent Set method, see set instance methods.

Drop the first N elements of an Array.

Signature

drop(amount: Number) => Array<A>

Description

Drops a provided number of elements from an Array, beginning at element[0]. This lets you "skip" the elements.

The calling Array isn’t changed.

Parameters

Number of elements to drop. If this value is greater than the Array length, an empty Array is returned.

Return value

Array<Generic>

An Array with the elements dropped.

Examples

[1, 2, 3, 4, 5].drop(2)
[
  3,

]
