FQL v4 will be decommissioned on June 30, 2025. Ensure that you complete your migration from FQL v4 to FQL v10 by that date. Fauna accounts created after August 21, 2024 must use FQL v10. These accounts will not be able to run FQL v4 queries or access the v4 Dashboard. For more details, see the v4 EOL announcement and migration guide. Contact support@fauna.com with any questions. |

FQL v4 end of life

FQL v4 will be decommissioned on June 30, 2025. If you’re currently using FQL v4, you will need to migrate your queries to FQL v10 by that date.
Fauna accounts created after August 21, 2024 must use FQL v10. These accounts will not be able to run FQL v4 queries or access the v4 Dashboard.
Since launching FQL v10 almost a year ago, customers who moved their production workloads to FQL v10 have given us overwhelmingly positive feedback on it. They have found FQL v10 easier to use, easier to maintain, and more powerful than previous versions of FQL.
To help make sure that all users are aware and ready for this change, we will temporarily limit FQL v4 queries for two short "brownout" periods in the weeks before the service is decommissioned.
How do I migrate?
Transition from FQL v4 to FQL v10 can be done incrementally and requires no changes to your underlying data.
We’ve provided a v4-to-v10 migration guide and an FAQ to give you more details on this transition.
You can also review the FQL v10 Language and API guide, to familiarize yourself with FQL v10 and its capabilities. FQL v10 features include:
-
A TypeScript-inspired syntax
-
Lightweight v10 client drivers
-
Collection-oriented indexes
-
Improved error responses
-
Static typing
