replace()

Replace the first occurrence of a String.

Signature

replace(match: String, replace: String): String

replace(match: String, replace: String, count: Number): String

Description

The replace() method replaces the first occurrence of match with replace for count number of times.

The original string isn’t changed.

Parameters

Number of replacements to make for matching strings.

Return value

Type Description

String

String with all occurrences of match replaced by replace.

Examples

'foobar'.replace('foo', 'bar')
