Get the strings that match a given string or regex.

Signature

matches(match: String): Array

Description

The matches() method returns an array of strings that matches a give string or regex.

The source string isn’t changed.

Parameters

A string to match against the source string. match can be a regex.

Return value

Type Description

Array

List of strings that match match.

Examples

'foo bar baz'.matches('bar')
[
  "bar"
]

'foo bar baz'.matches('[a-z]+')
[

]
