Virtual Private Fauna

In addition to public Region Groups, Fauna offers Virtual Private Fauna (VPF) for enhanced security, customization, and compliance.

Overview

VPF provides single-tenant deployments on dedicated infrastructure with a customizable regional footprint across multiple cloud providers. It delivers all the features of the core Fauna service—including global distribution and strong consistency—with added isolation and customization options.

VPF lets your organization use Fauna in your preferred geographic regions or cloud providers while meeting specific security and compliance requirements.

Key features

In addition to regular Fauna features, you get:

  • Multi-cloud deployments: Deploy Fauna on AWS, GCP, and/or Microsoft Azure to integrate with your existing cloud architecture.

  • Geo-Footprint selection: Choose specific regions for data residency to meet compliance requirements, such as GDPR.

  • Dedicated isolation: VM-level isolation ensures complete separation from other customers, providing enhanced security for sensitive workloads.

  • Private connectivity: With private endpoints, you can enable secure, direct connections between your Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and Fauna, reducing public internet exposure.

  • Serverless infrastructure: Like Fauna, VPF is fully-managed — no provisioning, capacity planning, or operational overhead required.
